Meerkat Magic is a short children's story about Bonke and Peo, two friends who love running, hiding, and climbing near their hill. When a curious meerkat seems to wave at them, it sets off a small adventure that pushes Peo to face a fear she knows all too well — heights. With Bonke close by offering quiet reassurance, the two discover that courage is easier when a friend says, "It's okay, I'm here."
Bonke and Peo live near a hill.
They like to run, hide and climb.
Peo doesn’t like to climb too high.
Sometimes they are lucky enough to find berries.
‘Did that meerkat just wave at me?’ asks Peo.
Bonke laughs.
‘That’s impossible!’ he says.
The meerkat scampers up, up, up…
‘Let’s go!’
‘Bonke, I’m scared.’
‘It’s okay, I’m here.’
