Oyisa and the Giant Tree

Summary

Oyisa and the Giant Tree is a free children's short story about a fruit-loving girl who spits a pear seed onto the ground — and gets launched skyward when a massive tree shoots up beneath her feet. Stranded at the top, Oyisa swings from branch to branch, turns down a bird's cosy hair-nest plan, and rides a giant pear swaying in every direction. Before Mama can even call her in for a bath, an ordinary afternoon has turned into something wonderfully wild.
