Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there was a little reindeer named Glow-Nose. Glow-Nose lived in the North Pole with all of the other reindeer, but there was one problem: Glow-Nose was too afraid to fly.
Every year, when it was time for the reindeer to fly around the world delivering presents to all the good boys and girls, Glow-Nose would watch as his friends flew off into the night sky. But he was too scared to join them.
Glow-Nose tried his best to hide his fear from the other reindeer, but they could see it in his eyes. They would tease him and call him names like “scaredy-reindeer” and “chicken”. Glow-Nose felt embarrassed and alone.
But one day, something amazing happened. Santa Claus came to visit the reindeer and he noticed Glow-Noses’ fear. He sat down with Glow-Nose and asked him why he was afraid to fly. Glow-Nose told Santa that he was scared of falling and getting hurt.
Santa smiled and said, “Glow-Nose, I understand your fear, but you have a very special gift. Your nose glows brighter than any other reindeer’s, and that makes you very important on Christmas Eve. You see, without your bright nose, we wouldn’t be able to see where we’re going on the foggy nights. You have a very important job to do, Glow-Nose.”
Rudolph’s eyes lit up as he realized that he was important too. With Santa’s encouragement, Glow-Nose started to believe in himself and his abilities. He practiced flying every day, and soon he was soaring through the sky with the other reindeer.
On Christmas Eve, Glow-Nose led the way with his bright, shining nose, guiding Santa and the other reindeer as they delivered presents to all the good boys and girls. Glow-Nose was finally able to do the job that he was meant to do, and he felt proud and happy.
From that day on, Glow-Nose was no longer afraid to fly. He knew that he was special and had a very important job to do, and he was determined to do it to the best of his ability. He flew with confidence and joy, and he was finally able to join his friends in the night sky.
