Bookdash

Book Dash is a South African nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and distributing high-quality, open-license children’s books to promote early literacy. Established in 2014, Book Dash gathers volunteer writers, illustrators, and designers to produce engaging, culturally relevant books in just 12-hour creative sprints. The organization believes that every child should own 100 books by the age of five, and it works to make this a reality by providing free digital downloads and distributing printed copies to children who need them most. By eliminating cost barriers and fostering a love for reading, Book Dash is helping to build a more literate and empowered generation.
