Free online stories
Stories help us make sense of the world around us and expand it. They allow us to explore cultures, learn moral lessons, connect to the natural world or to just have fun and relax. For children and adults alike the act of reading is associated with a positive impact on emotional development, vocabulary, concentration and the broad ability to learn. Therefore, Ririro.com is on a mission to provide anyone in the world with free access to reading materials. It’s our ambition to have a story for every interest, every age and every language for free. So that anyone who wants to read, can do so for free online on our website.
We currently have a collection of over 3,000 stories in English containing bedtime stories, fairy tales, fables, short stories, novels, myths and legends. The stories are then categorized by age: toddlers, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 6 years, 7 years, 8 years, 9 years, 10 years, 11 years, 12 years and 13+ years. And grouped by duration: 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes. Some of the most popular authors are: A.A. Milne, Aesop, Beatrix Potter, Brothers Grimm, Edgar Allan Poe, Hans Christian Andersen, L. Frank Baum and Shakespeare. You can also navigate to our all authors page to find the full list.
A lot of our stories teach morals, so we’ve created specific pages about themes like acceptance, bullying, courage, forgiveness, loyalty and kindness. Click here for the full list of morals. Of course we also explore cultures and specifically festivities, so we have dedicated collections for Christmas, Easter, Halloween, New Year’s, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day and more. Last, but certainly not least, we have educational themes teaching fundamental skills like the alphabet and numbers, stories about seasons, gardens, rain, rivers and much more that explore the natural world as well as stories about animals like cats, dogs, rabbits, bears, lions and over 50 other animals.
We’re continuously expanding our offering and currently have stories in Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Italian, Indonesian, Serbian in addition to English. All stories come with free printable PDFs and often with audio.
